Homeopathic Medicine for Dandruff

Armoracia sat. Q Locally: Mixed with an equal quantity of mustard oil, cures dandruff when rubbed on the scalp.

Arsenicum alb. (Twice a day): Scalp is covered with white, dry scales which itch intolerably, especially in weak persons.

Baryta carb.: It has an effective action on the coats of glandular structures and is useful in treatment of cysts of kidneys, liver and other glands.

Calcarea carb. (Thrice a day): Dandruff. Roots of hair painful on combing.

Graphites (One dose daily): Dandruff due to skin troubles like eczema. Hair matt together due to glutinous oozing of the scalp. Lots of itching.

Kalium mur. (Thrice a day): Whitish and copious dandruff.

Kalium sulph. (Thrice a day): Ringworm eczema of the scalp. Yellowish and copious dandruff. Itching worse by heat.

Lycopodium (Thrice a day): Dandruff with itching of the scalp and headache worse after a hot water bath. Hair fall out in bunches on combing causing baldness on single spots.

Medorrhinum 200 (One dose only) Repeat after 1 week: Dandruff with dryness of hair and itching of scalp.

Natrium mur. 200 (One dose daily): Dandruff worse margins of the scalp. Oily, greasy skin of the scalp. Dandruff causes hair to fall in bunches when combed or scratched.

Phosphorus 200 (One dose daily) For 3 days: Dandruff resulting in falling of hair in bunches. Itching of scalp.

Psorinum (Thrice a day): Foul smelling dandruff.

Sanicula aqua 200 (One dose only) Repeat after a week: Scaly dandruff over hairy parts of the body like head, eyebrows, eyelashes, pubis, etc. Repeat weekly.

Sepia (Thrice a day): Ring-like eruptions on scalp with dandruff.

Sulphur 200 (One dose only): Should be used at the beginning of the treatment and to end the treatment. Also when other indicated remedies fail to act.

Thuja occ. (Thrice a day): White dandruff resulting in falling of hair and drying of scalp.

NOTE: One dram each of Armoracia sat. Q and Ceanothus Q mixed with 10 drams of mustard oil rubbed on the head once daily cures dandruff within few days.
