Anacardium ori. (Thrice a day): Mental fatigue from higher studies. Fatigue of literary persons.

Argentum met. (Thrice a day): It is good for businessmen, students, etc., who feel tired both mentally and physically after work and reading.

Arnica mont. (Thrice a day): Fatigue on account of over-use of muscles and brain. Mental and physical fatigue. Limbs and body ache as if beaten. It removes fatigue of brain and also of body.

Calcarea carb. (Thrice a day): Physical and mental fatigue due to over-work. There is a lot of anxiety and inability to sleep with a burning headache.

Chelidonium (Thrice a day): Least exertion tires and he is averse to moving.

China off. (Thrice a day): Fatigue after travelling by air.

Coca (Thrice a day): Fatigue from a journey and travelling, especially during hot weather.

Coffea cruda (Thrice a day): Fatigue due to hunger.

Conium mac. (Thrice a day): General feeling of tiredness. The body feels as if bruised by blows. Especially suited during menopause. Debility and weakness of the body and mind is more in the morning, in bed.

Echinacea Q (Thrice a day): Tired feeling during acute or sub-acute disorders with a tendency to malignancy.

Kalium phos. (Thrice a day): Tired feeling with trembling. There is nervous exhaustion from over-work or stress. Severe muscular and mental fatigue, anxiety and irritability. It is a remedy for chronic fatigue syndrome.

Lacticum acidum (Thrice a day): Even the brain is fagged; slightest exertion or mental effort brings on headache.

Lecithinum 3x (Thrice a day): Removes symptoms of general weakness and tired feeling. Improves general health and increases the number of RBC’s.

Magnesium carb. (Thrice a day): More tired on rising than on retiring. Especially suited to old persons and during menopause. Whole body feels tired, especially legs and feet.

Murex purp. (Thrice a day): This remedy is specially indicated in nervous, lively and affectionate women. The patient feels great fatigue, weakness and is run down. Fatigue remains for several days and the indicative and peculiar symptom is that she feels more fatigued when sitting or at rest and feels alright on walking. Fatigue re-appears on sitting down.

Natrium mur. (Thrice a day): Great debility, weakness and tiredness is felt in the morning in bed.

Nux vomica (Thrice a day): Feeling of fatigue after sleeplessness or unrefreshing sleep. He is irritable and feels very chilly.

Onosmodium (Thrice a day): Muscular prostration with numbness. Acts as if born tired, worse motion, better lying on the back.

Picricum acidum 6 (Thrice a day): Brain, spinal, nervous and general prostration with feeling of tiredness all over the body and heaviness of legs. The patient can hardly lift the legs. Slightest exertion of the brain causes headache.

Rhus tox. (Thrice a day): Fatigue from over-straining, lifting and exercise.

Ruta (Thrice a day): Extreme fatigue with general bruising sensation.

Selenium met. (Thrice a day): Weakness of all parts of the body caused by hot weather. The debility causes a desire for sleep and strength rises as the sun sinks. Easy fatigue from any labour, mental exertion, night watching, etc.

Sepia (Thrice a day): Fatigue in women who are very weak is cured by this remedy. She feels fatigue even after a short walk or after any hard work such as ‘laundry work’ or during pregnancy or during lactation.

Sterculia a. Q (Thrice a day): 5 drops in a little water thrice daily removes the tired feeling due to any cause.

Tanacetum vulg. (Thrice a day): Nervous and tired feeling, like half dead, half alive all over. Abnormal lassitude.

Tuberculinum (Thrice a day); 1M (One dose daily) Repeat after 15 days.: Patient is always tired. Motion causes intense fatigue. Aversion to work.

NOTE: Feeling of fatigue is often the result of lack of sleep, physical and psychological stress or exhaustion. Sexual fatigue is also caused by stress, anxiety and of course, aging. It causes an irritable and impatient nature. Rest, avoiding alcohol and caffeine, physical exercise along with the medication brings back the good humour and feeling of wellbeing.

TIPS TO BOOST ENERGY AND DECREASE FEELING OF FATIGUE

  1. Including more fruits and vegetables than grain products in a meal.
  2. Eat breakfast within 2 hours of waking up.
  3. If you consume coffee, carbonated drinks or excessive sweets or salty foods, drink extra water to avoid dehydration which causes fatigue.
  4. Allow three hours for digestion of a large meals and an hour for a light meal or snack.
  5. Emphasis should be on carbohydrate rich foods, which are the best source of energy. Fruits, vegetables, bread, pasta, rice or cereals are such foods.
  6. Avoid foods high in fats such as gravy, fries and greasy foods as they take a long time to digest.
  7. Drink about 8 glasses of water per day.
