Homeopathic Remedies for Allergy

Allergy is a condition when a person is susceptible to a substance which is harmless to a majority of people under similar conditions of environments, etc. For example, penicillin, one of a group of antibiotics, is borne by some people but it produces allergic conditions and toxic manifestations in others who are sensitive to it. This is a case with several other drugs and medicines – not homeopathic. Such like conditions can continue throughout life, if not treated properly. One simpler method employed for determining allergy is the skin test. A scratch is made, usually on the arm, and the substance of which the allergy test is required, is applied upon it. If it produces an irritation or some other symptoms, that person is allergic to that substance. More accurate methods are available in the clinical laboratories. Homeopathic physicians acting upon the law of “SIMILIA SIMILIBUS CURANTUR” or “let likes be treated by likes” will remove such an allergy by giving minute doses of the same allergen which is the causative factor. “Iron cuts iron” is the universal truth. Allergic reactions are a product of the immune system misreading a harmless protein as a dangerous invader. As a matter of fact, allergic reactions are the immune system’s way of expelling the invader.

Acidum sulph. (One dose only): Air pollen allergy.

Ailanthus g. (One dose only): Smell of flowers causes asthma.

Allium cepa (One dose only): Allergic coryza with violent sneezing and worse in the “pollen season” i.e., August. Sensitive to the smell of flowers.

Antimonium crud. (One dose only): Cannot bear heat of the sun. The patient feels exhausted in warm weather. Gastric troubles increase.

Antipyrinum 2x (Twice a day): Allergic puffiness of eyelids, face, lips and sometimes penis.

Apis mel. 200 (One dose only): For skin allergy which is worse by heat and when there is puffiness with redness and burning. Allergic to heat.

Aralia r. (One dose only), Lycopersicum escu. (One dose only), Pothos (One dose only): Dust causes respiratory troubles and asthma.

Argentum nit. (One dose only): Skin diseases due to any allergy. Skin withered and dried up.

Arsenicum alb. (One dose only): For skin allergy worse by cold. Allergy to cold drinks.

Arundo, Ambrosia, Arum triph. (One dose only): Allergic watery coryza, sneezing stuffed up feeling in the nose and asthma-like attacks.

Carbo veg., Pulsatilla nig. (One dose only): Allergic to poultry items, aspirin, salt and butter. Milk causes flatulence.

Chininum ars. (One dose only), Natrium mur. 200 (One dose daily): Allergy to eggs.

Cocculus ind. (One dose only): Heat of the sun produces rash and vertigo. Sun allergy.

Gelsemium (One dose only): General depression from the heat of sun.

Histaminum 1M (One dose daily) for 3 days. Repeat after 15 days: Allergic to dust, smoke and perfumes. Allergic catarrh and coryza.

Gelsemium (One dose only): Allergy to beer and whisky.

Lac vaccinum def. 30, Sepia, (One dose only), Sulphur 30 (One dose daily), Tuberculinum 200 (One dose only) Repeat after a week: Allergy to milk which disagrees.

Lachesis 200 (One dose daily) for 3 days Repeat after 15 days: Allergic to vinegar, pickles and sour acidic foods.

Magnesium carb. (One dose only): Allergic to milk and meat.

Natrium carb. (One dose only): It removes allergy when milk causes diarrhoea.

Natrium mur. 200 (One dose daily): Allergic to bread, pickles and acidic foods.

Nux vomica (One dose only): Allergic to coffee.

Oxalicum acidum (One dose only): Allergic to coffee.

Petroleum (Twice a day): Allergic to cabbage.

Psorinum (One dose only) Repeat once a week: Allergy to wheat which causes eczema.

Pulsatilla nig. (One dose only): Allergy to orange juice which causes irritation of the skin. Allergic to pastry and rich ice-cream mixed with fruits. Allergy to bakery foods.

Rumex crispus (One dose only): Allergy to meat which causes eructation and itching.

Sabadilla (One dose only): Sensitiveness of all odour.

Saccharum off. (One dose only): Allergy to sugar.

Selenium met. (One dose only): Allergic to lemonade.

Sepia (One dose only): Allergic to fats and boiled milk which causes diarrhoea.

Sulphur 200 (One dose only) or 6x (Twice a day) Repeat after 1 week: Hair dyes produce eczema. Allergic reactions to antibiotics. Allergy to tomatoes, use of which turns face red and starts the cough.

Tellurium met. (Twice a day): Allergic to rice.

Thuja occ. (One dose only): Cannot eat onions which cause coryza and ophthalmia. Allergic to music which causes weeping and trembling.

Thyreoidinum 3x-6x (Twice a day): Allergic urticaria. Allergy to lipstick.

Zingiber off. (One dose only): Allergic to melons.

NOTE: The most common causes of allergies are foods. Typically peanuts, walnuts, cashews, shellfish, fish, milk, eggs, some medication, insect stings by bees, wraps, ants, latex, exercise, etc.
